Creative Director · Brand Strategy & Systems Design
I partnered directly with executive and medical leadership to define portfolio strategy, oversee creative direction, and ensure regulatory alignment across all brands.
Context
A vertically integrated medical cannabis company operating eight distinct brands needed to modernize and unify its portfolio while maintaining strict regulatory compliance. Each brand had evolved independently, resulting in fragmented identities, inconsistent packaging, and limited differentiation at the point of sale. The goal was to create a cohesive, scalable system that could support growth without erasing individual brand equity.

Overview
This project involved a full-scale repositioning of an eight-brand medical cannabis portfolio. Rather than treating each brand as a standalone redesign, the challenge was approached as a system architecture problem—balancing consistency, clarity, and compliance while allowing each brand to speak to a specific patient need, product tier, or therapeutic use case.
Challenge
- Eight brands with disconnected visual languages
- Inconsistent packaging hierarchy and shelf presence
- Heavy regulatory constraints restricting language, claims, and design freedom
- No shared framework to support future product expansion
Results
- Unified packaging hierarchy across dosage tiers
- Flagship brand establishing system logic
- Brand differentiation within a shared framework
- Enabled faster rollout of future SKUs
- Created a repeatable framework for portfolio expansion
- Reduced internal friction between brand, medical, and regulatory teams
