Description:
Working with Feral Studios, I conceived and designed the “Ghost Plane” — an immersive large-scale projection installation featured at Electric Daisy Carnival. The project transformed a vintage 1940s B-25 Mitchell bomber into a luminous, ethereal aircraft that appeared to emerge from clouds.
I led the concept development, 3D visualization, and projection design, while also managing logistics and on-site coordination. I designed and oversaw the custom LED lighting system that outlined the plane’s body and wings, integrating it with mapped motion graphics to create a cohesive, cinematic illusion.
Optoma provided sponsorship and projector support, supplying high-brightness laser units (ZU1050 and ZU850) that enabled seamless coverage and clarity under challenging outdoor conditions.
Outcome:
The installation became a visual highlight at EDC — blending storytelling, sculpture, and light into a single experiential work. The project was later recognized by Optoma as a featured case study for creative projection innovation.
