Discipline: Experimental Video, Live Projections, Immersive Media Art
Republic of Tri was an experimental video and projection studio, focused on creating avant-garde visual environments that blurred the line between music, performance, and immersive installation art. The studio treated projections as a living medium—using abstract motion, layered textures, and nonlinear video sequences to transform spaces into surreal, emotionally charged atmospheres.

Active throughout the 2000s, Republic of Tri collaborated with musicians, nightlife venues, underground art communities, and performance groups. The work ranged from live projection remixing to site-specific installations, experimental music videos, and multi-screen visual compositions.
Highlights
Experimental Projection Art & Live Visuals
Designed improvised, multi-layered projection systems using analog distortion, camera feedback loops, surreal video textures, and custom content—often performed live with musicians or DJs.
Cinematic + Nonlinear Video Creation
Developed abstract video pieces that relied on rhythm, atmosphere, and emotion rather than traditional narrative. These visuals became the backbone of both live performances and recorded works.
Immersive Installations & Spatial Experiments
Transformed rooms, stages, and architectural surfaces into reactive environments using multi-channel projections, sculptural screens, and unconventional surfaces.
Collaborations & Performances
Worked closely with artists, DJs, and experimental performers to create visuals that became part of the performance itself—blending light, shadow, and motion into a shared sensory experience.
Tools, Mediums & Techniques
Used everything from analog mixers and feedback rigs to early digital video systems, layering live visuals with recorded content to create a constantly shifting visual identity.texture, and motion to transform environments into living canvases.
