Role: Projection Mapping Artist / Immersive Designer
Project Description:
I transformed a hand-painted mural into a projection-mapped, animated centerpiece within the space. Using precise mapping and custom motion design, I created digital overlays that aligned perfectly with the artwork’s shapes, lines, and textures. The goal wasn’t to overwhelm the original painting, but to enhance it — adding movement, highlights, and subtle animated accents that brought new life to the wall.
In addition to the mural mapping, I also collaborated on other visual elements throughout the environment, supporting additional projection moments, visual refinements, and the overall technical setup. My role extended beyond a single surface — contributing to the broader look, continuity, and execution of the entire mapped space.

Key Contributions:
- Mapped a hand-painted mural into a dynamic canvas, capturing the wall’s geometry and artwork so digital content aligned perfectly with every contour and brushstroke.
- Designed and animated projection content that interacted with the existing artwork — extending textures, highlighting shapes, and introducing motion that felt naturally embedded in the painting.
- Handled end-to-end technical execution, including content creation, warping, masking, edge blending, and on-site calibration of the projection system.
- Balanced art and technology, ensuring the projection enhanced rather than overshadowed the original mural, preserving its character while adding a new immersive layer.
- Collaborated with stakeholders on-site to time visual moments with the environment and overall experience, turning the wall into a feature moment within the space.
Result:
The final installation transformed a static painted wall into a responsive, animated focal point — a hybrid of physical art and digital motion that drew people in, reshaped the atmosphere of the space, and demonstrated how projection mapping can bring existing artwork to life.
